Planets:
Mercury - The smallest planet and the one closest to the sun.
Venus - Can often be seen in the night sky all the way here on Earth. It's often called the Morning or Evening Star.
Earth - Our world.
Mars - The planet most thought to be able to support life (other than earth).
Jupiter - Two and a half times the size of all the other planets combined!
Saturn - The only planet so far in our solar system with clearly visible rings.
Uranus - Named after the Greek god of the sky.
Neptune - Farthest planet from the sun that's been discovered so far.
Pluto - Poor Pluto got demoted, it's no longer considered a planet by astronomers, now it's called a dwarf planet.
